"There is a crack in everything; that's how the light gets in" (Leonard Cohen)

This site is dedicated to my late partner Iorie Iain Everson, who died suddenly on 28th February 2007.

He loved the Scottish Highlands, and his love is reflected in his photographs. The selection in "In Memoriam" is part of his legacy, and I will add more with time.

I had the privilege to be with him, and to work with him, and he is still the driving force behind my work and keeps me going on.

Those who knew him, will remember him, each in their own way, and those who did not know him will perhaps find him in his photographs. This is how he lives on.

His photographs are his legacy, and this site is the memorial I have built for him, the only one he would ever have accepted.

More than a year had to go by, before I could even think about returning to our project, but knowing that he would have wanted me to carry on, I found my way back.

For me, the Highlands are now the most beautiful and most heart-breaking landscape on earth. Here we met, and here we had to part, although he will always be with me, and virtual.eyes will always be our site.

Who is remembered lives.
