Being so fortunate to live in the Scottish Highlands, I draw many of my ideas from the area

around me.

Since my own background includes studies of history, philosophy, literature and mythology,

these subjects will always occur in my work in a combination with nature as my main

source.

 

ArtBetween is mainly about the connection of people with their own history, philosphy and

mythology, although not in the way it was all written down.

All that is written down was done so by winners. My focus is on those who lost, whose

stories were never told, and if they were told the ones who lost were demonized or humiliated.

They have no voices of their own. They have been silenced. I try to give them a voice and a

story.

 

These stories are as true or false as those told by the winners. ArtBetween does neither

claim historical nor political correctness - it shows the other truth, whose home is

In(n) Between.

Some of my work is simply rooted in the fun being creative gives me; examples are the Seasons and some of the Collages. On the whole, it is all about
